As an ARMA Accredited managing agent, BNS must meet the standards and regulations set out in the ARMA Consumer Charter & Standards and are regularly audited to ensure compliance.

By adhering with the Consumer Charter, there are a number of industry standards to which BNS complies, including but not limited to:

  • Acting with skill, diligence and without discrimination.
  • Providing honest, fair, open and transparent services.
  • Making sure all staff are appropriately trained and knowledgeable.
  • Complying with all relevant legal requirements and codes of practice.
  • Holding professional indemnity insurance.

The Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) is the leading professional body for residential property management professionals.

In order to become a member of the IRPM, individuals take a number of exams and record continued CPD to ensure they are up to date with industry changes.  All members must also abide by a Code of Professional Conduct.

At BNS we believe our staff being properly trained and knowledgeable in the industry to be critical in ensuring we can deliver a high level of service to our clients.  As well as providing in-house training, we encourage and support our Property Managers in studying towards full IRPM membership.

BNS is a member of The Property Ombudsman, a not-for-profit independent company set up to provide consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service.

The Ombudsman’s resolutions are designed to achieve a full and final settlement of the dispute and all claims made by either party.
